Bachelor Photography
The PHOTOGRAPHY bachelor’s degree is a media-specific training course in which students can acquire the professional skills to successfully practice the profession of photographer, photo designer and photography-related professions. In the course, which is geared towards professional practice, comprehensive knowledge of the production, distribution and reception of the medium of photography can be acquired.
Building on the teaching of the media and creative basics in the first semesters, six subject specializations are offered in the second part of the course: photo journalism, advertising photography, editorial photography, documentary photography, artistic-conceptual photography and new media.
In the scientific subjects, students gain diverse insights into art, media and design theory. The workshops are equipped with the latest digital photo equipment and allow for a contemporary digital workflow from the photo to the printout.
The range of courses is particularly aimed at those applicants who already have basic photographic knowledge and would like to gain sound qualifications for the diverse professional fields of photography in image production, image communication and image use.
The study of the 7-semester bachelor's degree in PHOTOGRAPHY concludes with the examination for a Bachelor of Arts.
