You are warmly invited to the final lecture of this year's Design Lecture Series, featuring a guest presentation by Prof. Dr. Jens Junge (Institute for Ludology, Berlin) on the topic "Why Play is Important!"
Literature, film, theater, and numerous other cultural expressions do not necessarily need to justify their significance; however, when considering the quotidian culture of gaming, the circumstances often appear markedly different. Games are substantially more than mere leisure activities or children's entertainment. In his lecture, Jens Junge elucidates how games influence the development of our personalities and how the skills gained through gaming are pertinent to “real” life.
