Rooms ist ein Magazin, das sich auf Fotografie und Interviews mit Musiker:innen aus Deutschland konzentriert. Rooms bietet eine alternative Sichtweise auf Fotografie und Musik. Das Hauptaugenmerk des Magazins liegt darauf, die künstlerische Sprache jedes Einzelnen zu respektieren, Kreative zu verbinden und die Ideen dahinter zu erforschen. Der Titel erklärt sich durch die Metapher eines Wolkenkratzers. Er übersetzt visuell den „Raum“, den die Künstler:innen bewohnen, für sich beanspruchen und mit ihrer Kunst füllen. Wie in einem Wolkenkratzer gibt es viele Räume, die unterschiedlich aussehen. Wir als Betrachter:innen gehen durch die Flure und schauen durch einen schmalen Türspalt und bekommen einen kleinen Einblick in die Leidenschaft des jeweiligen Künstlers oder der Künstlerin. In diesem Rundgang, den das Magazin visualisiert, wurde besonders darauf geachtet, die Künstler:innen beim Wort zu nehmen, und das Gesagte nur zusammenzufassen. Um die O-Töne der Musiker:innen so realitätsgetreu wie möglich wiederzugeben, sieht Rooms davon ab, das Gesagte inhaltlich zu verändern oder aus dem Kontext zu reißen. Hinter Rooms steckt mehr als nur Fotos und Musik, hinter Rooms steht der Wille, eine Gemeinschaft zu gründen.

Rooms is a magazine that focuses on photography and interviews with musicians from Germany. Rooms offers an alternative perspective on photography and music. The main focus of the magazine is to respect the artistic language of each individual, to connect creatives and to explore the ideas behind them. The title is explained by the metaphor of a skyscraper. It visually translates the „room“ that the artists occupy, claim for themselves and fill with their art. Like in a skyscraper, there are many rooms that look very different. We, as viewers, walk through the corridors and look through a narrow crack in the door and get a small glimpse into the passion of the respective artist. In this tour, which the magazine visualises, special care was taken to take the artists at their word and only summarise what was said. In order to reproduce the musicians‘ original sounds as realistically as possible, Rooms refrains from changing the content of what is said or taking it out of context. Rooms is about so much more than photos and music, it‘s about the will to create a community.
