Kai Jünemann - „Will feel - eyes on“
„Will feel - eyes on“ represents a colorful and spontaneous visual diary of my first and intense stay in Teheran.
Stumbling across unfamiliar moments and however common situations at the same time, my lens turned out to be the only way to capture and conserve these impressions. Combining these images in double-pages, regardless of any chronological or geographic sequence, underlines the condition of relying only on my eyes. Capturing a mega-city like Teheran in its size and infinite facets seemed impossible to me, but capturing my personal fragmented and partial view appeared like the only solution.
All images were taken in Teheran in April 2019 during a cooperation project between The University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Dortmund, Faculty of Design and The University of Art, Tehran, Faculty of Visual Arts, Photography Department. The project has been supported by the DAAD program Dialog with the islamic world.
Slanted Publishers was founded in 2014 by Lars Harmsen and Julia Kahl. They edit and publish the award-winning blog and print magazine Slanted, giving an inside view into the international design and creative scenes. In addition to the blog and magazine, Slanted initiates and publishes design-related projects and publications.
